The Kingpin escape bolt is for use on emergency exit doors.

When the handle is pulled, the ‘Kingpin’ breaks into two pieces, allowing the spring-loaded bolt to retract and release the door.

The broken pieces remain attached to the bolt eliminating any risk of injury or contamination.

The door can at all times be used for non-emergency purposes by the key holder.
