A DIN mortice lock is a type of lock that conforms to DIN standards—a set of German engineering specifications established by the Deutsches Institut für Normung (DIN). These standards ensure uniformity in size and fitting, making DIN mortice locks compatible across a wide range of doors and hardware.

This specific lock case works via a lift to lock arrangement with the user lifting the internal handle to prevent access from the outside and automatically operate the indicator bolt. the internal lever will always then allow egress and when lever is used will again automatically update the indicator to show vacancy. A popular easy solution for commercial bathrooms.

Fire Testing

Successfully fire tested in accordance with the requirements of BS EN1634-1, suitable for use on timber fire doors up to 120 minutes and steel fire doors up to 240 minutes.
